Tim Connors is the Vice President of Slattery Energy Group, where he works with property owners, management companies, and industry organizations to better understand their energy use and identify practical opportunities to control costs. His work includes careful reviews of utility bills, organizing competitive energy supply bids, and helping clients navigate a broad range of energy-related decisions. Tim also oversees the Energy Programs for the New York Apartment Association and the Building & Realty Institute of Westchester and the Mid-Hudson Valley, supporting hundreds of members with guidance on utility issues, efficiency measures, and compliance with New York City’s Local Laws 84, 87, and 97. In addition, he assists clients in exploring solar options and modern boiler and HVAC control systems that support long-term operational and environmental goals.

Tim’s perspective is grounded in more than 35 years in both regulated and deregulated energy markets. Early in his career at LILCO and later National Grid, he held positions in conservation and account management, working directly with commercial and multifamily customers on efficiency programs, utility operations, and demand-side strategies. These roles gave him a detailed understanding of how utilities structure rates, manage distribution challenges, and support customers through evolving statewide energy policies.

He later transitioned into New York’s deregulated market with Hess Corporation and Direct Energy—two of the region’s largest energy service companies—where he focused on helping customers navigate supply choices, contract structures, and risk management approaches. His work with these ESCOs provided insight into market dynamics, commodity pricing, and the competitive processes that shape energy procurement in the state.

Drawing on this blend of utility, ESCO, and consulting experience, Tim offers clients a practical, well-rounded approach to energy management across the New York City and Long Island regions.
