Founded in 2020 by Jim Slattery, Slattery Energy Consulting Group leverages over three decades of experience to offer full-service energy solutions to the real estate community.
For the past 35 years, Jim has served his clients on behalf of suppliers. Now, he is working on behalf of owners and property managers to negotiate utility contracts, uncover savings in existing energy bills, and advise on an array of issues ranging from local law compliance to building efficiency.

As of December 2024, Slattery Energy has become the official energy consultant for the New York Apartment Association (NYAA) which was formed when CHIP and RSA merged. Slattery will manage NYAA’s energy program for oil, natural gas and electricity supply for members, including legacy RSA accounts.

James Slattery has built a distinguished career in the energy industry, leveraging more than three decades of experience working for many of the largest energy companies in the New York area from 1988 through 2020. Throughout this time, he established himself as a leading advocate for the NYC real estate community, helping multifamily building owners and managers navigate the complexities of natural gas, electricity, and heating oil markets with clarity and confidence.

In 2020, James founded Slattery Energy Consulting Group Inc., bringing his extensive expertise directly to the clients who need it most. His firm is committed to delivering affordable, transparent, and highly effective energy solutions tailored to the unique needs of the multifamily housing sector.

Under James’ leadership, Slattery Energy Consulting has become known not only for its integrity and market knowledge but also for its unmatched responsiveness. Mr. Slattery has been married to his wife Donna since 1987. They reside in Massapequa, NY, and are proud of their children, Lauren and Sean, with his wife Katie and their two kids.
