Founded in 2020 by Jim Slattery, Slattery Energy Consulting Group leverages over three decades of experience to offer full-service energy solutions to the real estate community.
For the past 35 years, Jim has served his clients on behalf of suppliers. Now, he is working on behalf of owners and property managers to negotiate utility contracts, uncover savings in existing energy bills, and advise on an array of issues ranging from local law compliance to building efficiency.

Meet Jim Slattery
Jim Slattery serves as CEO of Slattery Energy Consulting Group Inc (aka SECGI) where he continues his energy career which started in January 1988.
At SECGI, Mr. Slattery oversees all facets of the organization including utility bill auditing, energy procurement, project management, and NYC local Law compliance for its customer in the multifamily building space.
Mr. Slattery graduated from SUNY Brockport in 1985 with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Management.
Jim also serves as an original board member of the Golf & Tennis outing for Community Mainstreaming Associates, an organization dedicated to providing group homes and support for mentally handicapped individuals. He has supported and attended every Comedy Night and is humbled by being chosen as the 2021 event honoree. Complete blessing to have worked with 2 generations of the Engel, Pinsky, and Levy families to make a difference on CMA’s behalf.
Currently, Mr. Slattery serves as an associate member of the Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP). Mr. Slattery serves as an affiliate Board Member of Bronx Manhattan-North Association of Realtors (now known as HGAR) for over 15 years. Jim also serves as the chairman of the golf committee of the Bronx Manhattan Board of Realtors (now HGAR) and was awarded the Affiliate of the Year honor two times and was chosen as the President’s award recipient by then-President Rich Guarino.
Prior to Starting SECGI Mr. Slattery held the position of Co-President at Original Energy and Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Stuyvesant Fuel and Energy.
Mr. Slattery has been married to his wife Donna since 1987. They reside in Massapequa NY and are proud of their children, Sean (USMMA 2013, Lieutenant JV U.S. Navy Reserve and Georgetown University Masters Candidate in Real Estate Finance 2022) his wife Katie Smits/Slattery Esq (UVA BA Biology 2013, Masters in Secondary Education and Teaching 2013 & Columbia Law School JD 2017), Grandson Colin James and Lauren (BBA – Finance 2018 & MBA 2019 - Finance and International Business from Iona College).
